Ammanford Town Silver Band is pleased to announce that Elisabeth Rogers has been promoted to Principal Cornet. This follows the reluctant acceptance of Teifion Davies’ resignation as he moves to Llwydcoed Band.

At the tender age of just 14, Elisabeth makes history as the youngest ever Principal Cornet the band has ever had. She has already performed in numerous competitions, taken on solos on both the Flugal and Cornet and even prestigious duties such as playing the last post at last years Remembrance Parade in Ammanford (pictured).

With her growing reputation, together with a fearless and can do attitude, the band are looking into the future with optimism and excitement. As a graduate of Ammanford’s Junior Band, Elisabeth is one of 9 players who are all under 15. This further demonstrates the bands commitment to promote and encourage the brass band tradition in the Amman Valley. All at the band wish both Elisabeth and Teifion the very best of luck in their new roles.
