Recognition for Band Stalwart

After a very successful trip to Fishgaurd, last weekend which saw the band finish 2nd behind Ebbw Valley in the First Section of the West Wales Area Contest, one of Ammanford players was recognised for his hard work and determination to the brass band movement. 

Bryn Payne was made a life member of the West Wales Brass Band Association during the results and presented his certificate by Secretary Tony Evans. Bryn who players First Baritone for the band has played for previous bands including Tata Steel and his commitment has finally been recognised for the years and years worth of service he has given to the movement. 

Chairman Jamie Reynolds spoke of Bryn’s award following the results at Fishgaurd. “I am very pleased for Bryn that he has been recognised, he is a great supporter of the band and is rarely missing from our public engagements” Thanks too must go to his wife and Band Librarian Angie!
