Many players who have started out at the Junior Band have gone on to play in the senior band as well as a whole host of other national ensembles.  Here are but a few:

Dylan Savage – Current Principal of the band. National Youth Brass Band of Wales

Elisabeth Rogers – Former Principal Cornet of the band. Geneva Cornet and Trumpet young ambassador.

Glyn Davies – Current Conductor of the band

Hedd-Wyn Jones - Member of the Tuba section. Three counties orchestra, wind band and brass band

Jamie Reynolds - Soprano Cornet of the band

Matthew Wallace – Former Principal Cornet of the band. Three counties brass, wind and orchestra and National Children’s Orchestra of Britain

Millie Savage – National Youth Brass Band of Wales

Rhydian Tiddy – Former principal trombone. National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. Finalist Young Musician of the Year 2020.

Richard Williams – Member of the Cornet Section at the band

Tom Williams – Grade 8 with distinction

Wayne Neal – Solo Euphonium of the band.
